Our Language In Color

MANIFESTO:
In 1963 with 13 pigments we created a language. A universallanguage for the world to identify, match, and communicate incolor. We developed a dictionary, a swatch book of 15cm squaresthat brings form to color, order from chaos, and consistency toreproduction.Although it’s verbally spoken by a relative few the colorful ex-pression our language creates can evoke every emotion. On screen, in print, or stitched into your nations flag our lan-guage is seen and understood.

CONCEPT:
Our objective is to inspire people to interact with the Pantonelanguage of color campaign. To accomplish this, we developedPantone swatches of clear acetate “post-it notes”The acetate swatches can be used to stick over objects. Thecolor of the object is then framed as a Pantone swatch. Theswatch has a space to name its “PMS________” value. Depending on the individual, this could be a number as found inthe PMS system, or an emotion evoked by the color. This fun exercise will build a language of colors to inspire andinfluence the participants to communicate in Pantone.
